I think war is a metaphor that people think they understand. It's viewed as us versus them; we construe the them as evil and then justify what we do in response. I don't understand war on any level, metaphorical or otherwise. I don't think anybody does. Shouldn't that be enough for us to move forward?

Are you hope that GLBT people will have equal rights Federally in the near-future? I know this is a difficult thing on which to speculate.

I wonder how we would be different if we were less concerned with race...if we weren't concerned at all. When I saw that I wonder, I'm saying I really have almost no idea what it would be like to live in a society that wasn't concerned with race.
