Question: Who are you?
Mitt Romney: Mitt Romney. I was born in Detroit, Michigan; moved to a more rural area of Michigan after I was about five or six years old. And you know I’ve always been a Midwesterner at heart. I fell in love with automobiles a long time ago. I care about cars. I worked on a ranch in Idaho. That gave me some perspective on different parts of the country; and was raised by a wonderful mom and dad that were very involved politically in Michigan even though their life was in the private sector. So your . . . your perspectives in life, of course, begin with the places you’re raised and the kind of home that you’re raised in. And I’m . . . I’m pleased that I was able to receive the kind of values that are, if you will, the Midwestern values that, in many respects, define the heartland and define American values generally. Mitt Romney is, from where I sit, a guy who wants to do good, but he is confusing to me because he never says what he will do specifically. It seems to me that he hides behind a mask of what "America" wants to hear/see…
