they may have stopped coming cause we stopped cooperating with eachother. It's possible that jesus was their last attempt to quell the growing violence.

That guy makes a good point. I should have included exceptions of sacrificing yourself for the greater good of others. Ie the grenade example.

My theory is that aliens are the Gods and kind of acted with everyone. Everyone would idolize who they thought was in command of the party that visited them. Think of the giza pyramids and the precision with which those 70 tonne blocks were cut (with copper tools? not by humans for sure) then lifted into place so perfectly you couldn't slide a credit card through them years before iron was even founded. All religions all have the same golden rule as well, treat others as you would be treated. Is this no the greatest rule for global prosperity?
