Although its seems like Mr.Pitzers travel to Iraq and the Balkans has enabled him to see and understand the problems the regions are facing, its is hard to be shure because of the way this video is edited, he starts off by identifying the problem of media as a whole then jumps to say that the people themselves are at further risk of war. The editing of this video clip has put the region in a slightly negative light in my opinion. If someone is a journalist who travels the world, following the "if it bleeds it leads" mindset touched upon at the beggining of the video, that is all you will be interested in and that is what you will see. As a journalist you have to be very carefull not to slash something positive to make it bleed. I have travelled throught out the Balkans and i acquired a different more positive view of the present situation,i feel the people are tired of war and just want to lead normal lives again.

Perhaps we should have more emphasis on WHAT we are we fighting rather than WHO we are fighting, its unfortunate how a couple of small words can change a speech dramatically and shift the focus from possible solutions to creating scapegoats.
