In my opinion, the president of Russia is not elected by Russian citizens, but by "big fishes" like V.Putin and other ex- members of KGB. The matter is that the democracy doesn´t exist in Russia, it has not existed and it will not appear soon. The question we have to worry about is the quality of life of Russian people. But the worse is that European leaders like N.Sarkozy or A.Merkel take care of their own interests in Russia.
