Two books: "The God Delusion" and "god is NOT great" must be considered in very close proximity to such seemingly sincere pleadings. These are touchy matters, but that should not diminish or detract our willingness to engage with them. While some may propose that hijab is a "simple act of piety," it is also a coercive act of conformance which labels all of the non-hijab-compliant as stupid, foolish, defective, godless, and non-conforming to the irrational religious dogma that dictates its use.
