Has the United States ever been a democracy? It seems to me the people of the United States recently voted in a democrat majority to get US troops out of Iraq. The result is more troops in Iraq and no withdrawal. Sickeningly, Nancy Pelosi the leader of the democratic majority in Congress was the chief cheer leader for the recent Wall Street bail out. Even Republicans voted against it in the first vote. I just don't get how the people vote for one thing and get another. It is the same the world over. We have to establish a real democratic system or at the very least stop claiming we have one. Is anyone going to be held to account as being responsible for this fraudulent mess? The US government should not be bailing out rich fraudsters who get the most tax breaks already using money that will have to be paid back by the middle classes and the working class people. How much of the pie do the rich want? If they eat it all EVERYONE suffers and starves.
