Markus Massem commented on Mitt Romney: If you were an Iraqi, how would you view America? on February 1, 2008, 7:45 AM
The Americans arrived in Iraq, killed (hundreds of) thousands of civilians, destroyed families (which are so important to President Bush) and transformed the country into a battlefield. And you Iraqi people are still not grateful?! I guess that means you a probably "against us" anyway (to use another Bush phrase) so we either kill you or send you to Guantanamo... What a blessing!
Markus Massem commented on How will this age be remembered? on February 1, 2008, 6:47 AM
This age will mainly be remembered for the climate change it caused and how it did not take sufficient action to tackle it while being fully aware of the situation. The price our children will pay for this arrogance is going to be well, well above the 1% or 2% of GDP is would require to solve this problem. The stakes are very high and the price compared to that comparably low.

The first part of the video about love for your music is nothing new but certainly worth pointing out again. However, if you want to increase your chances of becoming a successful musician there is one of two things you have to do. You should either do something new that nobody has done before, or do something familiar better than anybody else before. I think that also ties in nicely with the last point he makes on knowing the history of music.
