Mansour Hadidi commented on Azar Nafisi: What are the biggest misconceptions of the Muslim woman? on June 4, 2008, 1:28 PM
I totally agree with you that we should not lump together those "Muslim" countries as "Muslim" world the same way that we don't call France and England and US the "Christian" world. But I can understand the confusion that exists about the role of women in "Muslim" countries around different parts of the world. For example, while majority of women in Iran consider themselves as "Muslim", they are against "hejab". Is that part of "Islam" or isn't? This issue does not only pertain to women. There are similar stuff for men, like drinking alcohol. I think it is very important to be honest. It is very unfortunate that "Religions" are only dividing human race while theoretically they came to unite people!!
Mansour Hadidi commented on John McCain: Is ethanol overhyped? on April 30, 2008, 12:56 PM
Both Senators McCain and Clinton have suggested a gas tax "vacation" over summer of 08. Assuming an average family uses 15 gallons of gas every week, for the whole 12 weeks of summer that family would save a whopping $33.12 (180*.184)Wow!!! what a relief!!

Mansour Hadidi commented on What is Happiness? on January 28, 2008, 3:03 PM
I think happiness is a natural phenomenon. It is a big mistake to create it superficially. I'd rather look into the sources of unhappiness and resolve those. Of course, one can not expect to be happy all the time (in that case happiness looses its meaning). But I mean chronic unhappiness probably have some real sources. Many times those are unrealistic expectations. I heard a story that they were looking all over the place to find the happiest person on earth. When they found him, he was a darvish who had no belonging and had no expectation in life!
