I don't know how accurate the statistics are, but the Rabbi is correct - we should not let these issues divide our society as much as we do. "Gay" or "same-sex" marriage does not lessen heterosexual marriage - it should elevate marriage as a desired expression of love between two adults, regardless of genitals.
