This is a good point. How good are our scales? how detailed is the information we extract?
The natural world elegantly explains all that we need to know about why and how we are here, even if we haven't decoded all of it's secrets yet.
At least a scientist will aver that there are things that we don't yet understand, yet judging by what we know of the paths of science, eventually we will understand more.
try to get the religioso to make the same concession.
Hell , non-existant though it is, will freeze over first.
