When I went to go live with my father I moved into a Kosher vegetarian household. This diet actually made me very sick and weak. I have never been able to put the healthy weight I had before this diet. I am not the only one that has found that vegetarian diets are not good for me. I have known two other people with this problem. They even worked with doctors and just could not maintain that diet. It may be good for some people but others bodies begin to break down. If you put these laws into effect you are literally handing some people a death sentence. This is not a fear this is a fact.

I think that aid should come in the form of education and health professionals. This way you can empower the people to solve their own problems. For instance, if you sent people to teach the women in the Darfur refugee camps self-defence then you could cut down the number of rapes. If you send over people to teach them construction they could rebuild the refugee camps into new communities. This last example will help the refugees regain a sense of community, pride, and stability. It also will eliminate the problem of having to rebuild and move all these people back to their original communities and having to take care of them in the mean time.

Lisa Del Gallo commented on December 21, 2012? Mayans decide fate of earth's existence? on January 19, 2008, 8:24 PM

From what I understood about the prophesies is that it is not supposed to be about the end of the world, but a bigging to a new cycle. The mayans saw time differently from us. Istead of time being a straight line, they believed that it was cyclical. Each cycle was called a baktun. The mayans believed that you could see the future by studying the past. They believed that in 2012 a global consciousness shift will begin with the 13th baktun.
