In the US a farmer can typically afford $200-300 per acre foot in the West for growing food. Las Vegas is paying $2000. per acre foot to spray the same water (from the diminishing snow pack supplied Colorado River) into the arid desert air to feed "pretty" fountains. Have we no sense or no shame?
