How is abortion a women's right? unless you've been raped, haven't you already in a sense made a choice?unless the welfare of the mother is endangered, why do people consider killing a fetus morally justified just because they regret their previous decisions?

Re: the "Right of abortion"
I do not understand the premise that abortions should be illegal except when the woman has been raped. If you believe a fetus is a human being with rights of its own, is that not saying that the fetus has fewer rights because the father committed an immoral act? Is the fetus not then being judged for the sins of its father?

mothers rights vs. fetal rights

Does the humanization of fetuses go hand in hand with the dehumanization of women and the loss of their civil rights? Professor Connie Rudnick interviews Lynn M. Paltrow, Executive Director, National Advocates of Pregnant Women, in this episode of The Massachusetts School of Law's Educational Forum, Abortion: New Turning Points.
