I must be getting to the age…….I thought, just last night; how many biliions and billions of people there are in the world and how incosequential I am. Who will mourn the human beings. Nobody. Cause in the end, it dosent matter anyway. All that matters is loving someone, today. That makes life worth living.

Dear Professor Tribe:

This "non-answer" is remarkably eloquent, and makes many confident answers seem quite shaky. My warmest regards, Charles Molesworth

Is the question about collective intelligence or about individual heightened awareness? I agree with Professor Tribe on the awe and humility felt in front of the vastness of knowledge and the unknown

Every time I look up at the dazzling, distant full moon I realize how relatively tiny human beings are on this great planet we call home but also thank God for the gift of life I’ve been given and hope that somehow my life has made a difference in the chain of history in some small way. Mother Theresa said “Do small things with great love.” I believe as long as my choices follow this wise advice my life will have meaning.
We are alive in part because of the microcosmic chain of life we call DNA and I think there is more to that chain than we as humans understand. At times I have a sense that I%u2019m carrying within me the consciousness of past generations. I do think it is a valuable endeavor to record your story for family and friends in writing and leave your authentic legacy in the form of an “ethical will” so the next generation has a deeper awareness of their connection to history. As Louie Armstrong said, %u201CI think to myself, what a wonderful world%u201D. and what a gift!
