There are two distinct water issues: 1)quantity and 2)quality. Both issues are primary. Studies are showing that the quantity of pharmaceuticals and hormones that is showing up in ALL of our water supplies and bodies is startling. Our present methods of water purification do not address this issue. There also does not appear to be any studies of the effects of this phenomenon on humans, animals, fish, birds, or the world's food supplies. The possibility of genetic mutation could be real.
Re: How do you rank in your morality?
Politically liberal at the 78 percentile. I hold progressive/liberal values and when it comes to social morals I feel that society's current laws need to be more liberal and flexible across the board. I believe that government is too conservative and do not agree with many of the currents practices and policies. … Read More

Universal Health Care means just that, everybody in, nobody out. The only practical way to do that is through House Bill HR 676, "The United States National Health Insurance Act" or "Expanded & Improved Medicare For All" introduced by U.S. Rep. John Conyers,Jr.The goal of the legislation is to ensure that all Americans will have access, guaranteed by law, to the highest quality and most cost effective health care services regardless of their employment, income or health care status. There are 47 million uninsured Americans, and another 50 million who are underinsured. It would be a non-profit health care system covering all medically necessary services, including primary care, inpatient care, outpatient care, emergency care, prescription drugs, medical equipment, hearing services, long term care, mental health services, dentistry, eye care, chiropractic and substance abuse treatment. Patients would have their choice of physicians, providers, hospitals, clinics, and practices. There would be no co-pays nor deductibles.Through cost containment, elimination of the for profit factor, and various employer/business taxes it is estimated that the Nation overall would pay about the same, but in the long run would reduce health care inflation by approximately $387 billion. If health care is important to you, check out this legislation and the documentary that was nominated for an Academy Award this year, "Sicko".
KD Wildmo commented on Election Fraud! on February 8, 2008, 9:37 PM
Unfortunately the public is too apathetic (lack of comments on this topic as proof). In the last gubnatorial election in my state I participated in training to be an election observer and was credentialed and assigned to a specific precinct to monitor the election process just like the Carters have done in foreign countries. Because of past racial harassment of voters, the state Democratic organization became very proactive in trying to combat as much voter fraud/harassment as possible. Overall the election process was fairly smooth. That being said, the fact is that it is very easy to rig electronic voting machines and very difficult to discover this. Processes were in place to try to protect the paper data so that if there were significant deviations in voting patterns there was a paper trail. I believe, given what happened in the last presidential election, both major political parties ought to actively train volunteers to monitor the elections at the most basic level, the precincts, or whatever political voting division is used. There are non-profit organizations that have prepared training materials specifically for this purpose.
