I do believe so yes, only as long as humans are willing to take steps to frontier new music types. Meaning that if you have an influental musician or band, and use that as foundation, you can only build up. Seeing as how we started last century with only a handful of genres, and ending it we run the gamut from Techo to Pop-Country. Somewhere between them and I. Engaged in the battles between Venus and Mars. Still writing the songs no one has sung. Digestible. Encouraged to stay out of line. Simple is the best way to impress. Basically complicated. Straight speech, meandering thoughts. Nowhere between arid and uninteresting.

Warp drives will probably come long after testing with worm holes. Not saying that this is possible, but until humans begin to understand space and it's unanswered questions is when we'll start to dabble in multidimensional space travel.
