How can NAFTA be "free trade" when the corn subsidies that US government gives to the American agriculture industry makes corn so cheap that farmers in Mexico cannot compete?

NAFTA benefits only the rich in each country. Why should the rich get richer while the poor struggle to find food. What good is a job if it does not pay enough for someone to live on. It also kills small business by allowing large companies to pay small wages to Mexican workers. I believe that NAFTA should be repealed to benefit those who actually need money.

Why can’t the United States be allowed to make products for itself; grow food for itself, make shoes; etc. and be self sufficient?
