Carrie.... of course, you are optimistic. You are so imbedded in the paradigm, to use an old notion, that you can%u2019t see the tree for the forest. The tree represents those who are products of a rigged game. Really, capitalism in our modern global market inherently produces %u2018have nots.%u2019 It%u2019s always done it, but now it does so across the globe.Your educational efforts are at best what used to be called co-optation. We%u2019re glad you feel so fulfilled.

Yes, Billy...so true and so well put. The experiences that require attention and time in our post-modern culture are consumed by only a few, although, shall we add, that doesn%u2019t mean de facto those experiences are somehow better. But, on average, they are. The more passive experiences are easy and so brief as to stimulate the urge for another %u2018quick fix.%u2019 Unfortunately, folks can get that next quickie.

Wow...now this is intersting. But..is it real? By that, I mean, is what Dan is saying relevant or bizarre. Digression: Are you as frustrated as I am about the difficulty in typing one's response?!To the point, Dan has created his own little world...his own concept...consequently, whatever he says 'goes.' In today's world, when you do that, you have arrived!

Well...interestng, Deepak, and intriguing up the point of the notion of 'collective consciousness.' That is the Great Leap. The individual's sense of being or consciousness, is fairly easy to grasp and understand. The notion of the larger 'collective' or, as Jung posited, 'universal' unconsciousness raise serious epistemological questionsThe tendency in these large scale 'paradigms' is to take us away from our natural setting. The 'I' becomes bereft of essential meaning, yet it is the 'I' that experiences beauty and love. There is room--indeed a need--for the universal or, better, for community, but not at the expense of the individual soul.
