Jeff Johnson commented on John McCain: How will this age be remembered? on January 17, 2008, 4:13 AM

No. Im sorry. First off: i cant agree to a one world economy. Is this a hint at New World Order? Its funny how i keep seeing more and more everywhere i turn these days. Sneaking out of politicians mouths. The "spread of democracy" is pointless, its not working. Sure things may sound good coming out of the tube, but good god we have funded islamic fascist dictators, then invaded their third world counrty.Weird. Wierd.Sorry john mccain, you no good.

Jeff Johnson commented on What will happen if the today's generations become too dependent on technology? on January 17, 2008, 3:49 AM

You can really answer this question with a question, that is: how long until technology takes over? Theres extensive research on the patterns in which technology advances, and its really quite obvious. The telephone, the automobile, the aiplane, the computer which when first created took up an entire room, cost 11,000,000 to make, and it was a little less powerful than a modern day cell phone. really everything. and not to mention our branes. To discribe the growth pattern of technology and the brain simply, it doubles every x amount of years, Theres no where to go but up, and go up fast. This really gets into the idea of singularity; singularity of the brain and artificial intelegence (or technology). This seems really futuristic and sometimes scary to grasp the idea of virtual reality, and the fact that within our lifetime we may be spending more time there than in the physical state. So when technology reaches the computing power of the brain, and eventually surpasses it, we will become an intirely new world. And this is happening faster than ever.A good book that goes into great detail on this: "The singularity is near." by ray kurzweilOn the idea of education, students and dependency of technolgy, who knows what could happen. We are going to have entirly different ways of living, and LEARNING!!! (BigThink.com) Think on this. Thanks for reading.
