And yes, I did mean to put this in the Faith & Beliefs section, because for me, researching this subject has led me to greater spirituality and more solidified faith in my beliefs.

I have found my answer, I would like to find out what you others believe will happen.

Love and light.

I think they will be a lot of news coverage of people praying and shouting from atop Mayan ruins. In the end the next day will come and people will look for the next stupid thing to believe in. Actually I think it’s really dangerous to have these kind of beliefs. When people believe in things such as doomsday prophecies they tend to make bad decisions in life and they tend to pass these traits on to future generations. If you think 12/22/2012 will never come, what will you do and how will you act on 12/21/2012? There is no such thing as a health superstition.

Let me guess, love and light.
Perhaps the beginning of the end.
And the end being a new beginning.

Thank you JeffDelano for your contribution to the idea. Are you saying that the infinite God desired to see itself and to be able to this it had to become finite? It had to create something outside of itself to see it?
Everything outside of God is a finite, dieing, piece of God?

Do I understand?

Pastmasterbd and Jeff,
The Mayans were not predicting the “end” of the world. but the end to their calender, the same as the chinese and japanese calenders, along with eygptian and some other ancient cultures. They are saying that there will be a great change, the same as there has been for thousands of years. The end of the world doesn’t mean angels singing, souls ascending into heaven and sinners running screaming through the streets, it means the world will end as we know it. Scientist have shown that at one time the earth tilted on its axis, putting the equator right about alaska. The prediction is that on Dec 21, 2012 this may occur again, causing major earthquakes floods volcanos and such, and YES with our febble little minds, some will cry out praise God, and other, Why God? But God has nothing to do with this, It’s a simple funtion of the Earth’s cycle, It’s like gas building up for hundreds of thousands of years, and mother Earth is gonna let out a big ole Fart! Some will live many will die, and then life will go on again. Well, atleast until that great big astroid comes swooping in to destroy us.

I agree with rezzer! this has nothing to do with religion it is a simple cycle no one knows what the effects will be or if earth will shift its axis or if there will be major solar flares from the sun or what.. but I think a simple global power outage for about 3 months will possible wake people up from there technology dependability, an realize what it really means to survive …and get everybody back to an even playing field…

We’re finishing the mission. Till the end of time, chap, no need for divine interventions and such…We’ll catch up when it’s done :)
