Let me help you out:
"Ok, I don’t want some atheist science stuff in my face. This is for Christians, please. If you read this and you’re an atheist, don’t give me your “that’s not possible” crap. This is for believers. It’s the faith section, not the science section.
In Genesis it states that humans live to be many hundreds of years old. Do you believe this? Why?
(I’m not bias towards either option, I’m simply interested in your opinion)"
You’re welcome.

no i dont! i think the OT can be very confusing. in many ways i feel the question is comparable to the age of the earth question. the OT syas roughly 6000, geology say billions. the OT says human live for 100’s bio says if you live to a hundred you are exceptional. I realize you have strong faith in the OT. just how exactly do you view it? word of god? infallibal? mythological? temporally interprative? please elaborate.
cheers – CP

I’m not exactly capital ‘c’ Christian, so I hope you don’t object to me putting my two cents in.
That being said, it’s impossible to determine how much was lost and how much addled between all the years and translations since the Old Testament’s creation. Especially with something as exact and specific as a number.
Now, assuming they are the right numbers, and taking it from a Christian point of view, it shouldn’t be that hard to believe. The people in the passages you are referring to are the (relatively) early decedents of Adam and Eve – beings originally intended to be immortal, right? If we say /this/ is in fact true, it’s not really very far-fetched to assume their offspring led much longer lives than we do, is it?

Hmmm…I have a feeling it will take much research to find the dictate(s) for a Christian or Christian supporter to pre-judge, profess from tunnel vision and have bias against others, that have been labeled in generality. Hmmm…think I’ll save time and “assume” there is no such guidance.
Otherwise…So what if humans lived longer lives, at perceived points in history? The present is what we have to “live” in and for as long as we do.
Spending one’s precious time attempting to prove the unprovable and possibly with the knowledge that such an effort may raise the ire of fellow human beings, is a sad waste of time.
I apologize for ‘sounding’ judgmental on this, as that is a poor response to ignorance.

ok… i believe we can live to over 100 years old its just that our genetics have been messed from the years of pollution and it is now impossible thanks to technology.
