Exploration is good for adults, but what about kids?

When I've observed children surf the internet, they are mainly driven to sites they've seen on tv. Once they get there, they're frozen. They have to ask experience individuals what to do next.

How can children use the internet as heartily as adults can?

I'm also curious about the original question… "What's the best way to use the Internet?" Exploration is a good answer, but then what? For community good? For learning, sharing world domination?

And on the same note, What's the best way for children to use the internet?

It's a really powerful tool.
