good point... there's always been more poetry written than read, and more bad poetry written than the shortlist preserved as "classics"... poetry is also expressed in different genres and mediums today than just the written word

It's somehow reassuring to hear a pro talk about the struggle, though I'm the opposite and have no problem with essays, but am struggling with my fiction....I guess the key is to keep going just to get to the end.
