Animal shelters often have to kill animals because they were considered "stray pets". I know that this might be considered a horrible idea, but why don't zoos use those animals that are about to be killed to feed zoo animals? I know that for some animals are fed live animals, such as mice or rats. Wouldn't large cats, hyenas, wolves, etc. prefer a fresh kill, which allows these animals a chance to respond to their natural instincts?
I saw something recently about obesity in zoo animals because they don't get enough exercise. One zoo (possibly more) is weighing the amount of food for each animal. If a large cat has enough room, wouldn't it be more beneficial for the animal to chase and attack a meal instead of throwing hunks of meat?

Can we feed Obese humans to zoo animals?
It would be quite entertaining and it would motivate humans to live an active and energetic life :-)
Please make comments on my ideas…

Animals that no one claims are generally euthanized after a period of time and then disposed off. My idea isn’t based on entertainment value, but zoo animals that have been confined for most or all of their lives don’t have the ability to hunt and kill their food.
Many people don’t have a lot of problems with feeding boa constrictors live mice, rats, or rabbits. We shouldn’t have a big issue of animals acting like animals.
There’s an issue that America has with a surplus of stray animals. There is no benefit to just killing these animals. All I am suggesting is that here is a different method of dealing with stray animals.
