The problem is that religion has been used to dived . Most people including me time to time are guilty of this. Even atheists and agnostics often do this. There is a problem with interlines and a lake of humility on all sides. I don%u2019t think anyone religion or Ideologue is to blame. If we seek to understand instead of agree the world would be a better place .

I think religion is a symptom of humanity’s unwillingness to accept the fact that we don’t understand the universe.
If more people begin to accept and embrace the fact that we don’t understand the cosmos, it would probably breed understanding like never before. So long as there are those of us that believe fervently that they know how the cosmos works because God tells them, then religion will never die and will continue to influence people in ways that promote division and intolerance.

Many things people do not call “Religion” I would call “Religion” too ;-)
Don’t be fooled by words, the five o’clock News Report is also preaching a complex set of beliefs…

i’m more for personal spirituality than organized religion, it ends up being less selfish in the long run… also leaves less room for cults and secret societies to form… and wars…
Religion in the state it is in today causes most of the problems in the world…

I agree that the starting point is discovering your own personal spirituality. But there are all kinds of good reasons to be involved in a community that recognizes and celebrates this personal spirituality. So, yes, many bad things are done in the name of religion, but some kind of religion may be necessary for most folks to have fulfilled lives.

ok first theres lots of non-belivers on this website so there wont be much argument
i belive in jesus and everything and i think that even if you dont belive you have to admit that without ‘all’ of the worlds religeons throught history there no way that history would have advanced as it would have cause they wouldnt of had any insperation to advance some of you will say that we would have advanced farther and fast by now but i think thats wrong and not to make anyone made its just my prediction that athisum if the end dosnt come by then will distroy the earth by means of corruption and greed because we will have no motovation to be good and just to people but thats what i think not a fact so whatever.
