A global dating service called BeautifulPeople.com has turned away 1.8m people for being “too ugly” in the two weeks since its launch.

A global dating service called BeautifulPeople.com has turned away 1.8m people for being “too ugly” in the two weeks since its launch. Apparently Brazil has the best acceptance rate for men and Sweden has the best acceptance rate for women. Just 24 per cent of American men have been accepted and 37 per cent of US women. “Existing members of the website rate how attractive potential members are over a 48 hour provisional period, when applicants upload a recent photograph and a short personal profile. They are rated by members of the opposite sex, who have four options to describe how attractive they think the hopeful is – ‘Yes definitely’, ‘Hmmm yes, OK’, ‘Hmmm no, not really’ and ‘NO definitely NOT'” reports The Telegraph. The UK, Russia and Poland scored worst for men; while China, the UK and Germany scored worst for women.
