What a great interview. Very much enjoyed it. I really identified with his analogy of the three Ms and the three Es. I try and instill in my postsecondary students the ideas of excellence, engagement and ethics, and I do see some changes. Perhaps the social networking culture is bringing students closer together as they seem to collect and care more for each other. However, are they able to see beyond their own groups? And what about ethics? Ethics seems to have become a dirty word, or up for interpretation ie, this isn’t wrong because (fill in reason here). We are a culture a neutralizers or blame deflectors. I agree with Dr. Gardner in that “we” have to be the ethical models.
