Just because you were born in america doesn't mean america owes you a living. Bill Gates has earned his money and has every right to it. If you think government owes you a living just because you were born, maybe you should move. Personally, I have worked for everything I have without ever expecting a hand out from anyone and do not plan on giving hand outs from my own pockets to someone who thinks they deserve it just for being born in the US.

Gary Dodge commented on Paul Krugman on Crisis Causality on January 18, 2008, 11:43 PM

Mr. Krugman begins by saying a large economic crisis generally "comes from a direction you did'nt anticipate at all". However, he then goes on to say he doesn't see a really severe economic crisis coming. Obviously if his first statement holds true niether him nor will most people see a large economic crisis coming until it is upon us.

Mr. Peterson presents some excellent insights to our current society. The "got to have it now" mentality of our society is at the center of our future economic success/failure. I can't help but wonder what it will take to change societies views.
