Untying the Gay Marriage Knot

Yesterday, the California State Supreme Court legalized gay marriage. Already, conservative groups have vowed to fight the ruling and the issue will not be put to rest anytime soon. We've talked to a few folks about the issue and thought today would be an appropriate one to spark some discussion.

I don't know how accurate the statistics are, but the Rabbi is correct - we should not let these issues divide our society as much as we do. "Gay" or "same-sex" marriage does not lessen heterosexual marriage - it should elevate marriage as a desired expression of love between two adults, regardless of genitals.
