Science seeks to explain only what can be verified

Uploaded on 01/07/2008
The scientific method is based on experimentation and measurement. It does not seek to explain ideas that have no measureable phenomena. Science can't explain spirituality or religious beliefs. Neither can it explain Leprechauns, Santa Claus, Why a parent feels a child's pain, or what's funny about Chris Rock. If we choose to invent stories and myths to explain the unexplained, science will be unable to explain our myths.
