Richard Pildes

Richard Pildes is a professor at the New York University School of Law and is a co-author of the casebook "The Law of Democracy." He is a leading legal scholar focused on democratic processes, public policy, litigation and constitutional law.  He is also a co-editor of "The Future of the Voting Rights Act," the definitive academic study of how the Voting Rights Act should be designed to respond to the issues of today. His academic scholarship has been cited in Supreme Court decisions.

Pildes contributed the dangerous idea that we should abolish primary elections to Big Think's "Month of Thinking Dangerously."
