Jeffrey Green is a democratic theorist with broad interests in ancient and modern political philosophy and contemporary social theory. He is the author of The Eyes of the People: Democracy in an Age of Spectatorship (Oxford University Press, 2010), which was awarded the First Book Prize from the Foundations of Political Theory section of the American Political Science Association. His work has appeared in such journals as Political Theory, Philosophy & Social Criticism, Polis, Philosophy & Theology, and the Journal of the Philosophy of History. Green has taught previously at Harvard University and at Gothenburg University in Sweden. He is a four time recipient of a Distinction in Teaching Certificate from Harvard's Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning. He holds a BA, summa cum laude, from Yale University, a JD from Yale Law School, and a PhD from Harvard.
Green is a Big Think Delphi Fellow.
