Eve Ensler is a playwright, performer and activist. She is the award-winning author of “The Vagina Monologues,” which has been translated into 45 languages and performed in more than 120 countries. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Guggenheim Fellowship Award in Playwriting.
Ensler is also the founder and artistic director of V-Day, a global movement to end violence against women and girls, which has raised more than $50 million. Active in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), V-Day and UNICEF, in partnership with Panzi Foundation, are planning to open the City Of Joy, a special facility for the survivors of sexual violence in Bukavu, DR Congo.
