Thank you Mr. Koplan. I cannot understand why anyone who is opposed to universal health care for all. Not only are they being inhumane, but they are not protecting their own interests. Making easy access to preventative medicine benefits us all in the long run. I have no problem paying higher taxes to help the uninsured- it is the right thing to do, not only for the care of my fellow human beings, but for my selfish interests as well; if those around me don't have the flu, I'm not going to get it either.

I want to know why the vaccine is going to be rationed. If we can spend billions of dollars on a war, why can't we all have the shot? Something about this is not right. I do not believe that it is impossible to make the vaccine avaiable to all of us. Yeah- let's bail out GM and AIG , but let millions get swine flu. In the end it's the same issue- if we don't work to prevent- the problem will be and cost much more in the end. The doctors and the politicians know this, but choose to ignore it. My question is why?
