Question: How did your parents teach you?
Chudy Nduaka: Both of my parents by the way died unfortunately a few years ago and part of that was due to the lack of heath care facilities in the countries where, in the communities where they lived, and that's really what has actually even made me, you know, given me the drive to push more for better access to health and helping communities to have health centers, like the last one we did. But my father definitely was a person that taught me how to give because, left to him alone, everything we had in the house would be given away. Thanks to mom because she was there to give him balance and perspective. But he was a giver and that was what he did. And as a child I saw that. You know. He educated a lot of the people in our community; he put them through school while he was putting his four kids through school. He taught us; it was from him that I learned the passion of education and why it is important to have a good education. He was a veterinarian himself and my mom was a nurse. So they were very well educated and saw the importance of having a good education. And so, you know, I said to father years ago, I said, you know, we could start a foundation to better leverage the public and be able to then attract the nations that will help us even educate people on a more global level. And he bought the idea and that's how we started the foundation together.
