While Mr. Emanuel is correct in forecasting decades of foreign relation problems due to American citizens' lemming like agreement on attacking Iraq, he neglects an important point. The US engaged in a similar war of aggression a generation ago yet Americans went out of their way to avoid learning the plain lessons. There is no evidence that Americans will (this time) learn the lessons they avoided in losing the Vietnam war.

Perhaps Big Think is an experiment: How many people will keep coming back to a site that features no way to post a question for help, no admin, no moderation, where the same six people post over and over about prayer and peace, and where NO one addresses any salient issue proposed for discussion. I'll check back at regularly increasing intervals to see if the experiment is still running.
Why is there no way to post a question to your HELP forum?
I see that other readers have posted questions/suggestions in Bigthink's "Help" forums. Has posting to these forums been disallowed? Where and how can problems be reported? Does anyone administrate this stuff? … Read More
