Why slowness in recognizing important change in radical Islam?
In December of 2007, the "author" of jihad, Sayed (or Sayyed) Imam Al-sharif, ie. Dr. Fadl, refuted the extremism and abuse Al-Quida and other Muslim-based terrorist groups leaders have 'misled' their follows too believe and execute. Too much of it based on earlier writings of his, as Dr. Fadl is considered one of al Qaeda's senior theologians. This has been attempted to be quieted by terrorist leaders, yet it is becoming more evident that Dr. Fadl's book (written while in Egyptian prison) and other common sense, faithful Islamic ideas are creating change at "street" level, affecting recruitment and arresting support of terrorist activities. Governments of the world are looking at this cautiously, yet what harm would there be with optimistic caution, or even encouragement of such possibilities. It's believable that Muslims want this, as they have indicated they have not been well represented, as a majority, by the radical extremists. If you want to gather more information for a more complete understanding, start with a search (dogpile.com) for: sayed imam al-sharifThis is posted to encourage awareness.Connecting-to-the-Value-of-Why 2005-2008 © … Read More

"Developing" countries cease to follow their natural inclination to be 'green.' Most societies, cultures assumed to be undeveloped are naturally 'greener' because they do not yet employ the technology that pollutes. Not all, of course, as throughout history we know there have been decisions and changes leading to, at least, health pollution. Unfortunately, it has been the major global polluters who have been allowed to bring these ideas and the processes which turn a "under developed" country into one which is adding to the global desecration mix (and with less experience and knowledge than their 'teachers'). So, penalizing the oppressed-turned-into-oppressor is a band-aide at best, when the focus needs to be put on the "non-green providers" of contaminates , leading to what is poorly labeled - development. I find 'humor' in almost all I encounter, because it works best for me to remember I know far less than what I know. And to realize I have a choice to initially take anything as positive vs. skeptical or pessimistically.Humans are driven by the chemical reactions, making up their living processes, and we all have opportunities to 'train' our bodies/minds to prosper from "responses" that "feel" as we choose they should. Keeping in mind, many have; either by default (experience, example, mentor guidance, etc.) or their own choice, to thrive on less positive reactions within their being. Using such emotional justification to their detriment and too often that of others.Connecting-to-the-Value-of-Why 2005-2008
Glafna,The "Human Way" would be yet another gross generalization and probably why it is improbable to define. What makes up such a generalization is the "Individual Way." Just as you related our species to others, it is estimable that other species don't have as conspicuous a manner to identify "individuals," though this may be arguable based on observance of the instinctual hierarchy of many, i.e. meerkats (familiar example), apes, etc. All stems from individual effort and contribution, yet the majority of "group-ings" do not fully concentrate on nor exercise these strengths, in-lue of scrapping for and locking into a "position" (I'm back to speaking of humans). So is that what is the "Human Way"? Personally, I don't believe so, yet it is prevalent and contributes towards the excuses made by the pessimistic as the "Human Way." Again, demonstrating the short-comings and inaccuracy of generalization., i.e. the difference between "human being" and "human becoming."Connecting-to-the-Value-of-Why 2005-2008 © … Read More

We all have the innate ability to prevent conflict and increase understanding beyond our fathomable imagination.
It's not reserved to the few, not a gimmick, it simply has to do with starting anything at a true beginning as opposed to "part way in." We have the tendency to start from a forward-point based on OUR current level of knowledge, experience and desire.
I listen to and teach others how to; prevent vs. overcoming, how to proceed vs. being satisfied.
