It gives me something to look up to. Something that is infallible. Something I can spend my whole life trying to achieve, with no fear of ever achieving it.I love spinning in this chaos knowing every thing goes down the drain, one thing at a time, only to come out the bottom, to see the light, and to start all over again.Disclaimer, I use the word God, for lack of a better Word. Scince kills as much as it saves
I speak of chemistry mainly, and all the weird things it does to humans. But their are other things like combustible engines and nuclear bombs. The cancer science tries to cure is, in my humble opinion, the same cancer it creates.I might be generalizing, and clumping all of scientific endeavours under one tent, but... who hasn't done that once or twice in a life time.I hear ya', science is only a tool and cannot be held responsible for the results humans produce with it. Well... same goes for religion, I guess. Read More

According to physics, all elementary particles collapse and reappear, including the ones that 'choose' to remain as me, if this is correct, does that mean, I can be wrong or right only half the time, because I, myself, am only here half of my life?If I am a series of pictures of myself through the passage of time, what am I when I am not the picture? Potential?Nothingness? Is this the interaction between the nonphysical and the physical? The space and time between the collapse and the reappearance of elementary particles? Is the time equal between a particle in potential and a particle in… Read More

With a Poor Ability to Reason, How Am I to Exist?
Let's say for a number of reasons, laziness not being the key, I have a poor ability to reason. With weak reasoning skills, I must utilize other tools to decipher between truth and illusion.I relied on others, but found them to be wrong quite often. Even those that spoke with great conviction and passion about their cause. It became difficult for me to even distinguish between reliable sources like school teachers, priests, the government, or the media. To reduce childish blind faith, I have used intuition, 'it feels right', to produce theories in life. But the only theories I could belie… Read More

Can the Belief in Astrology be Scientifically Proven or Discredited?
Some people believe that being born at a particular time of the day, or time of the year, or even a particular year, has an influence on their nature, or traits of their personality. It is my theory that there is a cosmological effect on a person's traits. Depending on the time of birth, a person's body will be exposed to a particular area of the cosmos. The rotation of the planet, the orbit of the planet, and according to the Chinese a sixty year repetitive cycle. The first cycle of the Chinese Horoscope started in the year 2637 B.C., we are now in the 78th, sixty year cycle which starte… Read More

This IsThe Absurdist's Definition of God
God is the unattainable. God is the extreme. God is that by which we define ourselves. God is that which man aspires to be, but has yet to become. God is knowledge we have yet to attain. God is subjective. God is a human concept. God is the artificial boundary man creates in an infinite reality. God is man's attempt to reconcile his desire for truth and unity in a reality in which he finds neither. God is an admission of defeat in man's absurd struggle with himself and his reality. This was the most popular definition from 100 words or less. Any thoughts on any of these definitions? Read More
