my logic concludes me to believe that i can't find an answer where there should be one (because after all you still cant tell me where this nature we see comes from). it is not that there shouldn't be one, but we can't ever difinitivly figure it out without dying, and thus the wishful thinking.how does time have nothing to do with logic?? without logic one couldnt determine causality. a causality that neccessarily requires a past occurance in order to relate it to the current circumstance we all find ourselves in. i cant say 1 plus 1 is 2 without having the first one. and therefore time is subject the same scrutiny you give the logic that can't allow for god to be a correct answer...therefore time couldn't have started and must infinitly regress as does your proposed logic.

skep... i do say i dont know! i dont know shit. neither do you... as you say all we can do is know that something is. that is the difference between knwledge and belief for me. there are certain things we can know and certain things we can never know. i cant ever know (until i die) whether god exists or not. and at that point it doesnt matter anyways. but even knowing that i can never know a certain truth doesn't prevent me from believing in it...which leads to you telling me i am a wishful thinker...i am. damn right. but it doesn't mean that i have NO justification. i use my rationality to come to these conclusions that i have come to. i see the elegance of the universe coupled with the intensity of my physical and emotional experiences, i have to assume there is A reason. i sure as shit can't tell you what that reason should absolutely be, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it is a question that is unanswered. so i do leave it as a question, because again we can't be sure of anything but that we exist. so i guess u win skep. the only thing we have to go on is the logic of reality. and since as you say this logic can only be valid with an endless string of justifications, then an answer will never make sense.but i ask you this. that means time is required to infinitly regress as does your logic. and i hate to tell you. that doesn't logically make sense either. do we are damned if we do and damned if we dont!

if it was tangible id be able to describe it more. thats why appeal to feelings are the usual path. an unacceptable one at that

i don't think that we'll ever agree skep. you think that synapses lead to thought and i think thought leads to the firing.

but basically all you are saying is that because the information stops, then we can never know. ill agree with that. i dont know. i have faith. this is why the leap of faith is the same thing as accepting the obsurd.
