Colin Matthews commented on What Keeps Companies Up At Night? on July 2, 2009, 6:24 AM
I think Stewart hits the nail on the head with his identification of the two different strains of thought that plague any leader -- namely, (1) how do I get and stay operationally fit and (2) how do I get strategically strong. The balance between keeping one's eyes on both short-term and long-term objectives and goals is one that I often struggle with. Even though I'm not at the executive-level, I can definitely relate, and these are issues that've certainly kept me up at night. I suppose it's those that can find that balance that rise to the top. I'd like to hear some more on how to that!

I had no idea that Scorcese directed this video. That's actually hilarious. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG5NhkxQJQc I just finished watching some CNN showbiz special on Michael Jackson's final will and how his children are being taken care of post his death. It sounds as though they're surprisingly well-adjusted for how strange their upbringing seems to have been. It's also pretty amusing that Diana Ross, after Jackson's mother, is next in line to take custody of his children. I guess stars stick together.
