@cory it would seem that he is answering from the perspective of the reason why he is an expert here (to give input on faith, religion and such), instead of saying "i am caring, athletic bla bla bla"

I've seen and heard a lot from Sam Harris, and i think he sums up my experience of him quite nicely in this "think" when he says that he simply calls a spade a spade. Sam Harris calls it like he sees it, and for me (and i imagine many others, aswell) this is very inspirational against the stark background noise from widespread indoctrination of certifiably insane outlooks (but of course no one dare say they are insane outlooks because they are widespread!).
