"Conformity in hipster culture knows no bounds." Replace "hipster" with any subculture, be it popular-, ethnic-, class- etc. based, and you have a generally true statement. Hipster-ism is merely another medium for humans to express their desire to be accepted while sharing the illusion that they stand out. A German businessman doing 200kmh in his Mercedes is subconsciously obeying this culturally filtered, natural compulsion as well. It is the rare, true individual, possessing a keen degree of awareness, who is distanced from the fold.
