I would like to open the question up further as to how it relates to other existing phenomena. Kindness in its application is closely akin to honesty, love, and many other admirable traits. These niceties are diametrically opposed to their opposites-Hate, dishonesty, cruelty...Richard Dawkins once commented on the origin of positive social behaviors and the sum of his statement was that civil behavior is inherent within each of us as a survival technique and I tend to agree with him. If I go around lying, murdering, and stealing (to pick the big 3) I will be ostracized and my chances of mating decline drastically. Should I choose to live an honest and friendly life, my chances improve.

I see that everyone is selfish and there is no such thing as absolute altruism. Every action one makes is for the betterment of the self, even if it is doing good for another. Ideas like karma or the Judeo Christian ethic reinforce this view. My karma or my god is happy with my performance this is the reward. If I do something for another person out of the goodness of my heart there may not be a physical reward for my actions. Instead I receive a feeling that I had done the right thing, a good feeling in itself is the reward I get and the motivation to do good. We are all selfish beings, it is when my selfishness impedes upon your selfishness that we have a problem.

roakes, Don't get me wrong, I really don't think that we will learn from this one tiny financial breakdown of every monetary system in the world... What I do believe will happen is that the fraudulent nature of our money system will be exposed ever more quickly, enlightening people to the true nature of corporatocracies, and the destructive nature of fiat money. I don't think anything will change from this, no. The people who are selected to monitor and guide the FRB and other central banks, as well as those chosen for the staged reality tv show we call elections are there to keep the system going no matter what. They will not just walk away. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect us to just wake up. It happens one person at a time. I'm gonna put this out there again:http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-9050474362583451279watch and circulate this short video,(about how our money works) like wildfire and maybe we can put an end to this nonsensical economic slavery.
