Question: Are you running for Vice President?
Bill Richardson: No. No. Why does everyone always ask me that? No. I don’t wanna be Vice President. I will return as governor of New Mexico if I don’t win. But I wanna tell you that I feel confident that I’m going to win eventually. It’s not gonna be an easy first strike. It’s gonna take several primaries. I love being a candidate. I love people. I believe I’m gonna get a good boost in Iowa and New Hampshire, and I’m gonna be on my way to the nomination. But no I don’t wanna be Vice President. I’ve been in Washington. I’ve had those honors before – UN Ambassador, Secretary of Energy. I love being governor. I’ve got three years to go. I’ve got so many things I wanna do in my state, too. Recorded on: 11/28/07

Well, I thought it certainly seemed you were running for VP in the most recent New Hampshire debates. I appreciated your words asking us to consider that experience is a positive rather than a negative and your urging of the other candidates to focus on the issues rather than each other.
Glad your still "in it." Good luck.

I like Bill Richardson. Met him in NM. Good luck to him if he gets a nomination, good luck to him if he serves out his three years as governor.

you were excluded from the race from the beginning by media executives in a board room who decided what horse race they were selling; they decided not to mention you, because you are the actually dangerous candidate, can win the general election breaking radically from the status quo. run as independent? I worked on your campaign in Lebanon and Dover. wish I could do more; am afraid of a world with more cells in Guantanamo instead of less.

Now that he has officially dropped out of the race, he would make a good runningmate for Barack Obama. Having Richardson on the ticket would allow Obama to gain more of the Hispanic voting block that both parties are vying for.

Bill Richardson would be great Vice President. What a relief from the incumbent! He would have a lot of support from our overseas allies.
