I totally agree with you that we should not lump together those "Muslim" countries as "Muslim" world the same way that we don't call France and England and US the "Christian" world. But I can understand the confusion that exists about the role of women in "Muslim" countries around different parts of the world. For example, while majority of women in Iran consider themselves as "Muslim", they are against "hejab". Is that part of "Islam" or isn't? This issue does not only pertain to women. There are similar stuff for men, like drinking alcohol. I think it is very important to be honest. It is very unfortunate that "Religions" are only dividing human race while theoretically they came to unite people!!
