I was reading and listening to the recent news of a group of people who were killed in a tragic car crash and it dawned on me, the singular death is not recognized in the same light as group deaths. Yes, it's tragic when groups of people die at the same time since they are usually linked to the same society in some way. Is this the reason we give them more publicity? What does that achieve? Everybody suffers after the death of a loved one, what makes the singular death less important to report?
