When cars are all electric and don't need combustion engines we won't need gas stations or oil refineries or oil tanker trucks or oil tanker ships or engine coolant or ignition systems or engine oil or radiators or starters or oil filters or air filters. We will forge much less steel for engines. The list can go on and on... It will have to impact jobs and all sorts of economic activity. Is this bad? What opportunities will arise? Will people save more? Will they put more into their homes? Any economists out there with ideas? Would this big chunk of the economy evaporating in a relatively short period of time be a really bad thing?
