Yes, IF there is a god, then it would be possible that "he" created the sciences to cloud our understanding of him.

 

However, science and philosophy were created by man in an attempt to understand the natural world around them.

 

In my mind, it comes down to a matter of probabilities. Is it more likely that people were trying to devise a system to explain nature, or that there is a great bearded invisible man in the sky that controls every though and action of every man, woman, and child on the planet?

 

Don't even get me started on extraterrestrial intelligence.
