If I'm understanding your idea correctly, you are suggesting that humans sort of, subconsciously decided to evolve the way they did? If so, at what point (among the primates?) would you say this could have began, and wouldn't the beginning of self-motivated evolution have had to have a molecular impetus? If the creationists want to say that this is where God put his hand in and made us "special," they would have to subscribe to at least the physical (as opposed to spiritual) evolution from apes. Even still, in accordance with evolutionary theory as a slow change over time, there would have been a lot of "special" apes and pre-humans, which I don't expect they would like. Pure creationism has no real place in science, but I can accept your own idea as a new belief system based on science AND the human experience.
